The game keeps the mods separate so I have 17.1gb of mods available with 228 files that include everything from reskins to new levels and any other tweak I can find to make the game exactly how I want it. When playing this game a few nights back as I like to do this as a late night event either solo or with a friend I thought it might be a fun article to write about just how hardcore this game can be modded.įor some interesting stats the game's standard size is about 7.5gb with extra DLC that's probably about 10gb being fair. I've done my share of modding for the others, but there's just something extra special about this experience for me.Įven at this point I like to take the time every month or so to see what's new and fresh from the community to make the experience that much more unique. While many love their Skyrim or Fallout modding Left 4 Dead 2 is the game I've modded the most. It's incredible that the game can feel fresh after so many years despite not receiving any DLC for however long. Even at this point with the game being well over six years old it continuously feels like a fresh experience every time I got back with the addition of mods. Left 4 Dead 2 is one of the my favorite games of all time and I joined the PC game about a year after playing it on Xbox 360 since launch where I was introduced into a crazy, yet wonderful world of mods.
